Camberley Libraries and Post Offices: Opening Hours and Services

Camberley, Frimley Green, Lightwater and Bagshot libraries: where they are, what they offer and how the Surrey bus pass appointment works.

Surrey County Council runs the libraries in Camberley, Bagshot, Frimley Green and Lightwater. Camberley Library on Knoll Road is open 9:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, with Tuesday until 7pm, and 9:30am to 5pm on Saturday. For post offices, use the Post Office branch finder.

Which libraries are there?

Surrey County Council runs the public libraries. Its A to Z list of libraries includes Camberley, Bagshot, Frimley Green and Lightwater. It does not list separate libraries for Mytchett or Frimley itself, so the nearest for most people in those areas are Camberley and Frimley Green. You can join through the Surrey Libraries site, which also offers eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, computer skills help and a Library Direct Home Service for people who cannot get to a branch.

Camberley Library

Camberley Library is on Knoll Road, Camberley GU15 3SY, between the Surrey Heath Borough Council offices and Camberley Theatre. As published on its library page:

  • Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm, with Tuesday open until 7pm
  • Saturday 9:30am to 5pm
  • Sunday closed, and closed on bank holidays

The page lists computers, free Wi-Fi, printing, photocopying, scanning, study areas, room hire, newspapers, period dignity supplies and a blood pressure monitor. Accessibility features listed include automatic doors, a hearing loop and a lift to the second floor. The page also describes Super Access, which lets members use the library without staff at extended times. When we checked, the page said Super Access at Camberley had a system fault and would not be working until further notice, so check before relying on it.

Frimley Green Library

Frimley Green Library is on Beech Road, Frimley Green, Camberley GU16 6LQ, with free parking shared with the adjacent medical centre, as stated on its library page. It lists computers, free Wi-Fi, printing, newspapers, a borrowable blood pressure monitor and help with the free bus pass. Please check the library page itself for opening hours.

Lightwater Library

Lightwater Library is at 83A Guildford Road, Lightwater GU18 5SB, behind the parade of shops, per its library page. It lists these hours:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
  • Saturday: 10am to 1pm
  • Monday, Thursday and Sunday: closed

The page describes Wednesday as a community day that is volunteer-run. Services include computers, Wi-Fi, printing, a borrowable blood pressure monitor and period dignity supplies, and there is a hearing loop and disabled toilet.
